WHAT TO EXPECT
Going to a new church can feel intimidating. We hope to change that!
Christ UMC is a dynamic congregation filled with people from all walks of life. From t-shirts and jeans to business suits, you'll see it all on Sunday mornings. We yearn to be a place and a people where you are welcomed and treated like family from the moment you arrive.
When should I arrive?
We are currently operating one10:00 traditional service. Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes before the worship service starts to allow plenty of time to make your way to the worship space.
Not sure where to sit? No worries! Our ushers will be available to greet you and help you find a seat. Plus, let your usher know that you are a visitor and they will greet with you a small gift.
Where do I park?
We have a very large parking lot at Christ UMC that begins in front of the sanctuary and wraps around the church building. Our parking team members in yellow vests are available to assist you with parking in the most convenient space available.
What should I wear?
Come as you are--we mean it! Our congregation includes a wide range of ages and backgrounds. You will see people in our church in all styles from jeans to business casual attire. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so please don’t worry about what to wear.
Can I participate in all parts of worship?
Yes! Each week we join our hearts in prayer, lift our voices in song, and share our tithes and offerings in all three services. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion, and all are welcome to share in this holy meal together. We encourage you to participate to the extent that you feel comfortable.
What about children?
There is a children's message early on during the 10 a.m. service where our pastor gives children a modified version of his/her sermon topic followed by a short prayer. Children are then dismissed to go to Children's Church with our director of children's ministries.

What about youth?
On Sundays, our youth have Sunday School at 9 a.m., during the same time most adult Sunday School is meeting. Then they head down to the sanctuary to attend worship service. You may see them helping out in various parts of the service such as greeting and the offering. Our youth program is coined "fun, faith, and fellowship" - come see why!

Of course! Our Sunday School meets in 9am and 11am slots at this time. We offer classes for every age group in our congregation, from children and youth to various adult classes that meet every Sunday. Please attend the class that best meets what you’re looking for.
