WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS AND PROGRAMS RETURN ON AUG. 16!

Our weekly meal starts at 6 p.m. and the program this week is “The Book of Ruth” with Pastor Megan. Menu: Submarine Sandwiches, Pasta Salad, Chips, Relish Tray, Watermelon. The cost is $7.00 per person or $24.00 per family. If you are visiting the church, your first meal is free! RSVP by Monday (865-922-1412) or fill out a pink envelope and drop it in the offering plate.

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE:

Every Sunday, there's something special for our kids!

  • Birth to Pre-K:  Sunday our Early Childhood classes are open during all services & Sunday School.
  • K-5th Grade: There is Sunday School available every week at 10 a.,m.
  • Director’s Corner from 10:45-11:00 in the kids' wing.


YOUTH     

Sunday   5:30  Meal and activities

Wednesday  6:00 p.m. Churchwide Meal, Youth Activity at 6:30 p.m.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED IN YOUTH MINISTRY:

Do you like to cook? Well, we have the perfect opportunity for you to get involved in our youth group. We need volunteers, individuals, Sunday School classes, or a dinner one Sunday evening. To view dates needed or to sign up for a meal please use the meal train button located on the right side of the screen or the link below.


Here is how you use Mealtrain:
1) Simply type in this web address https://mealtrain.com/o227g8 into your internet browser click on the link OR use the Mealtrain icon link.
2) Create an account
3) Once you have created an account you should see dates listed as available. Simply click the green box that says "Book this date" and fill in the required information.
4) And that’s it! You just helped the youth department by providing a meal.


One great thing about this program is you can see what other people have brought for the meal to give you an idea of what to bring. Feel free to still call the office (865-922-1412) if you have questions.  Your willingness to volunteer is greatly appreciated! 



THE UNITED METHODIST MEN NEWS

The UMM will meet Sept. 9 in Wesley Hall to finalize plans for the Song Fest and to collect ticket revenues. We will also begin plans for our Fall Fun Fest. Come join us as we plan for our ministry programs. Breakfast will be served at 8:30.



THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN NEWS

Prisca Partners 10:00 a.m. the 2nd Monday of the month, Conference Room (Focus: visitation to our home bound.


Sing to the Lord 8:45 a.m. , the 2nd Thursday of the month. (Focus: UMW mission statement).  NO MEETING IN AUGUST.


G.I.F.T.S. Circle 6:30 p.m. fellowship, 7:00 p.m. study, Thursdays, UMW Room (Focus: bible study of the prophets).


Istoria Circle meets on the last Tuesday of each month in the UMW room. 6:30 p.m. for fellowship; 7 p.m. for discussion.

     October and November books to be decided upon.


The next UMW Unit Meeting will be held on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the UM rooom. Please join us for food at 6:30, a short business meeting, program and devotion at 7:00 p.m. We will be scheduling another work day to finish our project at Susannah's House so please join us for all of these activities
